Product: Wood CD Stand Product No: HME0073 The stands are very basic in design and construction. The tools needed to build them are a saw, drill, sandpaper, and although not mandatory, a router is very helpful. A clear coat polyurethane is all the finish required; No staining or painting is needed. All you need is basic 1 X 6 pine board, and 7/16 inch dowels to make these stands. You can even use firewood! The plans are the same for both versions. The pieces used are so small that some wood workers pick up scrap wood at construction sites to make them. There are different sizes that are needed; but they are all from the same plans. Each larger size just grows vertically by an additional tier. You make more for each tier that is added. The majority needed now is in the single and double tier models. The single tier version is only six inches tall, and holds twelve CDs. Depending on the kind of tools used, you should be able to make this stand in approximately ten to fifteen minutes. Our special order buy back program is the payment method that most of the wood workers who send us their stands are interested in. This is how it works. When you send your sample stand to us to show that you can do the work, we will then talk with you on the telephone to figure out what you can expect your personal production rate to be. A few factors determine what this will be. The types of tools you are working with, the speed in which you work, and the time available that you have to work on this type of project. We will order from you on a weekly basis. This way we can work to match our sales, with your production level. In a market of supply and demand this is the only way to keep sales and production in sync. We don't want to sell more than our producers make, as that would create a back-order situation, which customers dislike. Also, we don't want to sell less than your production, as that would create surplus inventory. We have never had this occur in over five years in business. The object is to keep you busy at your production rate, and send you a check within three days of receiving your stands. Special Skills: Saw, drill, sandpaper (router optional) Income for one-tier stand: $4.10 each (includes postage) = $3.10 per stand Supplies: Supplies can be purchased from the company or by you.
